my siamese cat keeps bringing home live baby rabbits.. there half her size so not small but shes so crafty and takes them upstairs to play....

Nope :( you can't I'm afraid. You can stop them bringing them into the house by shutting the cat flap though ;)
It's heartbreaking when they do it, but it's their way of showing how much they love you by bringing you 'presents'. Our ginger tom picked off an entire family of baby duckings that had hatched by our pond, one every day for a week :'( :'( :'( it's horrible, but it's just a cat's natural behaviour.

no, you can't stop them its their suvival instinct.
our little one doesn't catch much.... but brought a toad in the house at the weekend, normally they scream but this one played dead til we got it back outside!!

Nope, its instinct to bring food home. I don't really think it's 'love' as such although Rio does purr all the while. I deliberately didn't have a cat flap put on my new back door last week for exactly that reason. Last time it was a young rat which he played with all round the kitchen then finally caught, killed, and devoured in front of me - right to the end of its tail! ::)

our part siamese does the same. not only that but she managed to fatally maim a pet baby rabbit when we accidentally left the boot room door open where we rear out babies. tis nature, very sad and cruel but nature.
we also get weasels brought in that spray and stink the house out!!

All my cats are farm cats, and hunting is in their nature. They live to catch things, and enjoy it. Weasels, stoats, squirrels, all types of birds, rats, mice, its a constant line of cats in the field carrying things back to the caravan. One caught a bat one day - managed to rescue that and it was ok!!! Another one, climbed a big conifer tree. I saw her coming back down, reversing, and carrying a pigeon egg in her mouth. Don't ask how she knew there was a pigeon up there anyway, and knew what was in the egg. She dropped it on the wall, and broke it, and devoured the baby pigeon,.
I do not mind the rats etc. but hate the birds they catch. Not a lot you can do, unless keep the cat in, which is impossible with mine.

You could stick a bell on it's collar it wont stop it trying to catch things but it will give their prey a little extra notice and time to escape,the cat will keep trying but perhaps not be as successful.

thanks for your comments.... i dont mind her catching animals but not so keen on rabbits being shredded and chewed up in the house... will have to lock the cat flap during the day i think... shes got a bell but shes so slow and she will sit for hours watching the rabbit holes... wont be a problem once the babys have grown a bit... i thought siameses were house cats but this one loves the outdoors...
