Superb!  Here's a wee blog post (http://www.songofthepaddle.co.uk/forum/showthread.php?5700-A-short-Long-Trip) from one memorable trip I made there, er, a decade ago now  :o. Of course that was in my footloose and fancy free pre-smallholding days  ;D

You already seem to have done more than I ever have - and I've lived in Scotland for the last 19 years... Yes, it's a beautiful place, isn't it?! Hope the rest of your holiday goes just as well! :sunshine:

I know your feeling.

I am spending a week at the college near Armadale in Skye.  Looking out over the sea towards Knoydart on one of the nicest days of the year so far,  watched some folk catching mackeral this evening so I will get my rod out tomorrow and see if I can get enough to salt and pickle.

Life isn't too bad......

We had the most AMAZING storm last night.... thunder and lightening of epic proportions lighting up the whole of the loch and surrounding mountains!!
The house we are staying in has a three sided glass living room so at two this morning we were all watching the show... all be it slightly terrified :-)

According to our neigbours, we had the same thing Sbom. A friend's horse got through three layers of electric fence and has really hurt one of her ewes too  :(

Mrs Womble and I slept through the entire thing!  :D
