Title: Pekin hooked beak
Post by: wayfarer on July 30, 2016, 07:02:02 pm
I've got a 7 week old pekin chick that has a very hooked beak.  She is smaller than the other chicks and has always been that way but is growing so must be managing to eat and drink.  Is there anything I should do to make things easier for her?

She's probably small because she's having difficulty in feeding.  Beak-trimming is something to be done very carefully.  I wouldn't breed from her.
