Title: Pig Behaviour
Post by: Pindo on July 20, 2016, 09:11:55 pm
I have 2 x Saddleback/GOS cross 20week old pigs who have suddenly started demanding a lot more food than usual and being quite aggressive about it.  I have been feeding them the same amount for about the last 4 weeks, reflecting an increase from when they arrived at 8 weeks (Pig pellets) so not sure why this is now a factor, if anyone has any suggestions they would be much appreciated. Could it be that they have worms?

Are they boars or gilts?  If you're planning to have them slaughtered they'll be getting close to finishing weight.  Do they clear their feed in 10 minutes?   If quicker they may well need more.

Have they been wormed since you got them?

What is their overall condition?
