2 eggs pipped today, and one hatched however the other egg has gone silent now. When the egg hatched the humitidy rose to 67%!!! has this basically written off the other eggs chances of survival?

No - it should be around that anyway - 65 % is recommended from day 18. I noticed the humidity shot up when our first chick hatched - it's because of all the moisture in the shell with them, however it soon settles down once they start to dry out and fluff up.
Congratulations on the new arrival! :)
