Title: slaughter house for wild boar

I'm looking for a slaughterhouse in east Anglia that will take my wild boar alive. I know this is a long shot but I have to ask.

We had a few crossbred porkers that had a bit of wild boar in them and the vet at the abattoir we use was quite keen that they weren't actually wild boar as they couldn't take them. Given the hoops you'd have to jump through in order to keep them in the first place I'd have thought sorting out slaughtering etc would be done at the planning stage? And could be a make or break decision as to whether to keep them or not.

How did you prove they were not wild boar?

Post by: hughesy on June 26, 2016, 12:10:22 pm: It won't be a problem if they are crosses. The concern was only when she first saw them in the trailer and she was happy once she'd had a proper look and we'd spoken to her.

That is a bit of a nightmare. Hope you find somewhere not too far away.
