Title: Smallholder business rates
Post by: Cind44 on June 15, 2016, 09:33:10 am
Hi we are a small holding simply because we have goats. The main business is running a livery yard.

We want to build a house on the land as revelling two and from 3 times per day is time consuming and expensive.

We currently don't pay business rates but if we build a house would that then apply?

Thanks for any advice

You would have to pay council tax for the house
As for the livery you may but you would probably get small bis rate relief and be exempt
