Title: Willow sticks - have I forgotten you?
Post by: doganjo on June 14, 2016, 03:41:03 pm
 :eyelashes:

My memory is like a sieve!  Did I promise any willow to anyone and they haven't had them?  :innocent:

None ready to cut just now but maybe more after summer.

Darn. I so thought this was going to be a poem.

Willow sticks
Have I forgotten you?
Promise in haste
Forget at leisure.

Alas, none are ready
Till summer sun
Has left its mark
and too soon vanished.

I shall have more
When Autumn comes
Shove them in earth
And they shall sprout.

sorry.

Let's hope not!!

Doganjo - do you know what variety your willow is?  I'm wondering if it's any good for sheep to browse on in winter. (And would Zwartbles do that anyway, or is it just more primitive breeds?)

I'm afraid the variety is unknown (my fault as Annie got the original cuttings from me  ;)) but it's fast growing and sheep should browse it happily
