So my wild boar GOS cross pigs are thriving now
Wormed and ironed and growing like mad
One of the girls keeps on sitting down though. She is eating well and otherwise seems fine but needs a sit every few minutes.
Any ideas what the problem could be. Reminds me of when my dogs need their glands emptying :(
Thanks

Any swelling or redness anywhere on her back legs? She could have a problem with a hip joint and/or arthritis? When she lies down can you check the soles of her feet for cuts or maybe a thorn?

Thank you
Hadn't thought about her feet
Will go and look now

When she does walk does she seem wobbly, stiff or lame?
My first thought was joint ill - especially if they didn't have a great start in life. The infection can set in via a wound. Treatment is usually a course antibiotics (penicillin) and sometimes an antiinflammatory like metacam - if diagnosed and treated quickly she should recover.
I hope I'm completely wrong, but it's worth checking it out.
