Title: chicks are huge
Post by: langdon on May 08, 2010, 07:16:21 pm
our chicks are now two wks old and they are huge!!
ready to go out of brooder into something bigger.
two are dark coloured and the other two are yellow.
our eight eggs in the incu are due to hatch next wknd, cant wait to see that amazing moment
when they start to come out of their shell, we were just glued when they started to cheep and roll
around inside the egg.
beth had a glass of wine and i had a pint of cider!!
same again i think.
hope all is going well for those with new chicks or waiting for that moment ;)

remind me what sort they are?
our 7 (4 yellow bantum light sussex and 3 black copper marans- look like fluffy penguins!)  are doing well, trying out their wings now.   just over a week old now

good luck for your next batch....

they need heat for at least 2/3 weeks yet. don't rush it or you will lose them.
