Hello All,
This morning we woke up to the delightful sight of Darcey pig (GOS)[img] and 8 little piglets!!!!!! How exciting for our first time (fortunately not hers). She seems to be coping well. They were born in her farrowing ark and seem OK but are shivering. we removed most of the straw so they didn't get lost or tied up in it. Will they be OK? I have spent the day with my heart in my mouth being rather hopeless but they are all still there. Do let me know whether i should do anything more to keep them safe. Darcey seems very well. Had her breakfast and is relaxed with us around her. A slightly blurred photo attached(I think).

Did she make a nest? If they are shivering they are cold, might be a good idea to add some more straw in one corner, or a heat lamp. Congratulations on the babies.

Congratulations on the new arrivals  :pig:
Like Hilarysmum says it sounds like they need a bit of warmth.

Quick up date to say a little extra straw and a good feed and they seem fine. Darcey is doing very well and todays sun is helping too. Very exciting.
