Title: York
Post by: Rosemary on May 08, 2010, 08:54:20 am
Dan and I are thinking of having a few days in York late summer / early autumn. Anyone recommend a nice place to stay - must have really good food and be in York itself as we're going to go by train.

I know you love horses Rosemary and there is a 4 day meeting on in August. I go to 3 meetings a year with friends and can recommend it. It is the best racecourse in England and a great city for a break. Where to stay depends on your budget but there is a great choice and there are plenty of restaurants to choose from. The Park Inn Hotel is on the river and close to the station although can be expensive when the racing is on.
