Bargain!
How long would it take to get into Glasgow or Edinburgh from there do you think? Could you do it by bus and/or train and if so how?
-
I think 1 bus will pass through Forestmill at least once a year ha ha. ::)

Just as a matter of interest Annie love I was down at Wrangle a short while ago and there was house on 2 acres of land with outbuildings and a barn Not quite top class fen land but very good. The asking price 1/2 a million quid.and I was told last night its been sold.It obviously has not been bought to farm .With potatoes at £40 a ton. Scotch Seed is running at £400 a tonne yesterday ??? :farmer:

Train from Alloa to Glasgow or Edinburgh - 10 minutes by car from Forestmill.
-
We looked at a house in Forestmill a few years ago
Scarey place ..... the inhabitants wouldn't look out of place in the movie Deliverance :D
No insult intended..... just in case one of us live there

There's a masterplan development of 1500 houses at Forestmill. the development includes a primary school, hotel, equestrian centre and golf course. Don't know when it will get off the ground but it's got planning approval. Don't know how it relates to thsi property though.

This has been on the cards for many, many years so far.
-
Yep, well it now has planning permission.
-
This place isn't really at Forestmill. It's next door to my friend Liz almost at the end of the B910 where it goes onto the B977
Nothing wrong with Forestmill anyway. If I had seen that before my present home I'd have bought it, and if I thought I could sell this I'd buy it. It would just suit me fine. Val - don't hesitate. I don't think it'll staythere long - and come and see me if you decide to view - just 5 minutes away on the edge of Clacks village. Quite handy for your sister and the rest of the family too. ;D

lots of work going on with the roads at the moment down forestmill way, So i suspect it wont belong when they start
-
I might arrange to view it! If I do i will give you a shout Anne. I'd have to sell thhis house first and that might not be easy in this climate....
Have been offered lambs twice this week! My son is desperate but alas we have no room for sheep.
-
If only we had some spare ££££££

There's no road works or houses anywhere near this place. It's on the B910. Forestmill is past the crossroad of the B910 and B977 and about 3 miles up the road from that.

I think it depends what price bracket you are in. The houses above £200K are slow, under that are moving within about 4 to 6 weeks, over £300 they are taking months. You can put in a noted interest anywa and then they ahve to let you know if tehy go to a closing date, then you can decide if you want to offer.
Val, I'll PM my phone numbers

Clackmannan is somehow magical.................... we love it here as it suits us soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo much but I relay wish we had some ££££££££££££££ to invest in this area?/. We are currently full of arceteches/Surveyors and they have noticed how muck Alloa has spent on thier upgrade!!!

:) good luck it looks a lovely place. There is only one thing to do,Which is to try.
To me it looks like they want a quick sale possible elderly person/couple move to a home so need the money to pay for the care.

I'm not sure if it's the same house, but a lady who lived up there died recently. It may be her husband who's selling up.

Drove by tonight and noticed it's sold!!!
-
Yes, he took the first offer - below his asking price but he wanted out.
-
Who?? If we had ££ we would go for that, so ideal!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
-
Yes, I would have gone for it too although that static caravan and pigs would put me off but wouldn't think of buying before selling in this economic climate. No idea who's bought it - horsey folk maybe?
-
Maybe the person with the static caravan, they may have seen the eldery person and thought they would get in on the act!!
-
Nope, don't think so. My mole tells me he hasn't got a bean, and the Council are about to serve a notice on him.
-
Ohhhhhhhh! I thought he may well have moved in and thought he would have first hand on the houseetc...such a wonderful location I hope the new owners jin TAS!!!!
-
I hope the new owners join CSSA!!!! I'll be going in to welcome them with a calendar and a newsletter!
