Title: Courier for meat?
Post by: JulieS on May 06, 2010, 02:39:38 pm
I'm just trying to find the best value for money courier to deliver my meat boxes.

Can anyone recommend a good company?

Many thanks.

As a customer, I got meat from mcneans a couple of months ago.
Very well packed, speedy, cold using blue coolant boxes.

A proper job.

Many thanks banbh.

Is mcneans a butcher?  Don't suppose you can remember the name of the courier company?

parcel2go  ....  It's more of a comparison site.. I usually end up choosing DHL's next delivery with home collection option (£8.99+vat) latest collection where I am is 5pm for a next day delivery. Or DHL drop off.. a lot of WHSmiths are now registered drop off points for DHL parcels.

I keep getting sales call from them offering me a business account, they reckon they can save me 50% on that £8.99+vat.

Great, thanks DJ_Chook.....Will give them a try.  I tried DHL last time and they said they wouldn't carry fresh meat, might be worth trying them again.

Many thanks.

Parcelforce will do it.  Pick up one day and deliver the next morning....They want £24.99!  Seems quite a lot to me, or am I just being tight???  lol

I'm sure you could ask them. They're over the border in Fermanagh so I'd say whatever service they used is available to you in England.
