Hello All,
We recently moved to Somerset and have set up a small holding - learning rapidly from our many and varied mistakes! Currently we have 2 Gloucester Old Spot weaners, 10 chickens and a cockerel, 2 orphan lambs on their way, 3 free range children (I think!) and 2 Chocolate Labradors.
Loving life in Somerset and just wanted to say hello.

Hi
Done the same thing; also in Somerset and loving it! Got loads of poultry at the moment (have a kitchen cheeping with the sound of turkey chicks and two batches of hen chicks) and bees. Need to do more fencing before getting bigger stuff. Just taking it slow and trying to garden (everywhere I dig I have to prise flint boulders out!).
Take time to enjoy it!

Hi from not so very far away in mid devon

Hello and welcome from another Somerset smallholder. We moved here 4 years ago and are on the Levels between Langport and Taunton. We also have weaners, lambs and chickens. We started rearing geese two years ago and found them very rewarding. Feel free to pm me if you need any advice about local suppliers or services.
