Title: Turkeys

Hi what age do turkey's stop laying and how long do they live for.  Thanks

They live for 20+ years and theoretically they will lay all their lives, but less frequently as they age. They lay seasonally, though, like most birds, so you only get eggs in spring and early summer.

Our Narragansetts start laying around mid April and stop around late August or when they go broody or moult, whichever is the sooner.  Our oldest turkey hens are around six years old and have gone from laying 5 or 6 eggs a week to around 4.  The eggs get considerably larger in their second year of laying.
