I have some cull ewes with tags that pre date 2010, they have two ear tags each but not an EID. I would like to send them to market but what do I do about their ear tags? Thank you.

If they are double tagged with tags that have an individual number, not just your flock number, than that is quite satisfactory. Historic flock (pre 2010) must be able to be individually identified, but do not need to have EID. The exception to this is if they are moving direct to slaughter, when a flock identifier is sufficient.

Think I would double check with the market as to what they will accept.
