My 10 week old orphan lambs have been out on grass for the last 2 and a half weeks, no creep or milk just grass and hay. However, every evening when i bring them into the barn, two of them (One not as regular as the other) always seems bloated, their sides are like barrels. But but by the morning it is either gone, of significantly less bloated, in themselves they are fine, pooing normally, bounding about the field and eating and drinking well! My question is, will this maybe go after time or is there something i should do to stop it completely?
Many thanks,
Keelan

We never wean before 13 weeks, usually 16. How gradually were they introduced to a grass only diet?

Many thanks for the reply :) They were let out for a couple of hours a day once weane, still eating creep and hay. Then i slowly took the creep away as they were bloating a little bit. I drenched the biggest one with oil, bicarb and water and he seemed a lot less bloated, i'll do the same tonight,
Many thanks
