Title: cut and come again lettuce for autumn/winter in polytunnel - any experiences
Post by: farmers wife on April 20, 2016, 02:04:18 pm
Ive planted lettuce in the outside beds and dont want to swap us with too many.  Thinking ahead what is the feedback on lettuce in tunnels for cooler autumn/winter (unheated) - if so best types and advice really.

Pretty sure Charles Dowding has cut/come again salads in polytunnels nearly all year. You could have a rummage on his website? He also has books out, perhaps some critical info could be seen in the Amazon previews?

I grow mine in a small greenhouse although it is open most of the time. It grows very well but I haven't tried it all year round.
