Title: Chicken poo tea, anyone?
Post by: valr on May 03, 2010, 08:39:02 pm
I spent hours scarifying a bit of my garden today ... most satisfying. It's like taking a dyson to it! ;D  Loads of moss and thatch lifted and now it looks a bit scabby.
(The bit I am scarifying is not the bit where my chickens free range.)
It costs me a fortune in weed feed and mosskiller - about £80 last year  :o
So I am wondering if I can make some feed myself! I am taking care of the moss with the electric scarifyer and am prepared to hand weed/nuke dandelions etc  with roundup, but I was wondering about feeding it ... someone mentioned making some kind of concoction with chicken poo. I have plenty of that!  Any ideas anyone?  ???

I would guess, just soak it in a bucket, then dilute it?!
be careful, in case it scorches....
