Title: Possible bloated lamb
Post by: ThomasR on April 13, 2016, 12:20:15 pm
Hi
Last night I found a lamb in the middle of the field freezing cold abandoned by his mother. We stomach tubed him and put him under a heat lamp over night and he has picked up and is now standing and looking alert. However his stomach is making a lot of noises and his stomach is quite hard and not soft. Is this ok? It feels a bit like a balloon but it doesn't look big. Is he ok?

Enemas are also advised for watery mouth/belly to help the passage of fermented milk/sticky faeces in the gi tract.
