What's the going rate for drainage ditch digging work?  Anyone had any done recently?

Would expect to pay around £15 an hour dug by hand, £30 with mini digger and £50 by bigger digger.

Obviously more expensive if its only few hours work because of cost of transporting equipment.

Price per metre though?

I have about 250m of very wet land to dig....so would need a bigger digger just cos the ground is so unstable/boggy.

Our drainage board charged us £30 an hour for a 15t digger to clear our ditches.
