Thanks Izzy - it's a bit expensive but it does look totally fascinating.  I've pre-ordered it  :thumbsup:

Chris Packham had a small mention of the perfection of the egg on Easter Watch the other day and that left me with all sorts of questions  :thinking:

Yes I'm always impressed by how persistent eggshells are in the compost heap. Nature has made them so good at keeping the contents safe from germs!
