I hope I can upload the photo. I found a 2 furrow plough in the hedge and have pulled it out. It is probably many years old. Can anyone tell me what "Breed" it is? May sell it on ebay if it is worth anything, to raise some money for the upkeep of the field etc.

I don't recognise the make..but then i'm not particularly into old farm machinery.
But it doesn't really matter. It's only worth what someone will pay for it and they might want it as much as a garden ornament as they might as a plough or restoration project.
List it and see what happens..or use it. Hard to tell from a pic but it doesn't look any worse than the 2-furrow I own and use.

Thankyou. I do remember it being on the back of Dads old Tractor (B250) Which we stll have, probably as old as the hills! ????

I believe it's a ransome 2 furrow plough.....some models are very collectable...most I believe are desirable..not sure which model it is.

If stufe35 is correct you could always get in touch with your local vintage machinery group to look at it for more detailed info like model etc.

I have listed it on ebay, there are 5 watchers at the moment. It would be nice if it was brought back to life and landed up at a vintage tractor show. On another note, I have a very old Lister diesel shearer (Big Machine) which I wouldn't mind getting some info on. When I can get it out of the shed, I will take some photos and post them.
