Title: Hatching Goose Eggs for Sale
Post by: Womble on March 17, 2016, 11:57:04 pm
Does anybody fancy some geese?  Our girls are in full swing now, so we have some eggs to sell.

Gandalf, our Embden gander is currently running with two Embden type white commercial geese, and two Brecon Buffs. The offspring will therefore either be all white, or Brecon Buff crosses. Both breeds reach a good size for meat, and the white females each lay an egg every two days throughout the summer. The pics are from the first year we had the white ones, so you can get the idea:

£1.25 per egg collected from near Stirling, or I will post at cost. I will guarantee good fertility if collected, but not if posted. That said, they're tough eggs, and have always been fine in the past.

Cheers!

That's a very reasonable price. We sell ours for £1.50 each for eating.

LOL. I once sold a dozen hen's eggs to somebody at work for £2.50 and he went and hatched them in a borrowed incubator. I was annoyed at first, but then thought why should the price go up just because he didn't eat them?  The actual eggs and the cost to me were the same!

PM Replied to Daisy's Mum  .

Hi,
Wondered if you have a female for sale - I've just lost mine and my poor gander looks so lost- definitely grieving! I'm in Fife.
Regards Carole.
