Hope I am being over anxious. Ewe due at week end has slight cloudy discharge from vulva this morning. She is happy and ate breakfast as normal. Should I be worried?

Probably not. I have a Lleyn ewe that has a drop of whitish snot-like mucus sitting on the bottom edge of her vulva for a few days before she lambs normally. I've always felt it was just an excess of her own lubricant juices. It has occurred every year for the past 3 problem-free lambings.

Thanks slimjim hope she is following suit with your ewe. Je :fc:

It could be the mucus plug which sits in the cervix to seal the uterus from bugs during pregnancy, then comes out just before delivery when things start to stretch :sheep:

Thank you fleecewife, how long do you think before we start lambing? Je
