Right guys I'm going to try hatching my call ducks - it's the 1st time I've done it in years, I can hatch out normal duck eggs fine in the incubator, but everyone says call ducks are very hard to hatch, & broody hens or leaving the ducks to it is best, & that they rear 2-3 batches of ducklings a year, Has anyone got any experience hatching calls & should I try a few in the incubator, I hear it's different settings for calls, I'm using one of the big Brinsea ova easy incubators, which I'm hatching hen, duck & goose eggs at the same time x

Hello
From each pair I take a few eggs and put the under a bantam, then let the duck sit on a clutch, I remove the ducklings when they hatch so she lays again and then I let her rear the third and final batch.
Has always worked really well for me... I am sure others have their own ways too :)
