MEET MY YOUNG SHETLAND COCKEREL.
18 WEEKS OLD AND LOOKING FOR A SPECIAL HOME. HE CARRIES A GREEN EGG GENE. SHETLAND FOWL ARE A LAND RACE THAT BREED TRUE. THEIR EGGS ARE PASTEL GREEN AND THEY HAVE TAPPITS. THEY ORIGINATE FROM A CROSS OF SHIPWRECKED BLUE EGG LAYING AMERICAN INDIAN FOWL WITH LOCAL SHETLAND BREEDS. VERY FRIENDLY AND HARDY. HATCHED FROM EGGS FROM SHETLAND LIVESTOCK FARM IN YORKSHIRE. Hi there,  my shetland hens not laying yet.
Got some of my egg from' harton hens, green tree farm, York. ' Good hatch rate and he said he has a couple of flocks. Think he's advertising at the moment on preloved.
They re a stunning gentle' breed'.
I have more due to hatch soon from another source in Scotland.
