After having two scanned as early, we seemingly have started lambing proper!
The twin early has got a fab set for bouncing babies, and since yester day morning we ve had three more sets of twins. The single early is crossing her legs me thinks. Few more bagged up,here we go

Would love to see pictures
-
Yes pics please ! Can't wait to see my lambs
-
When I get my act together I will, another set twins born last nightm and it looks like Ms Soon has uncrossed her legs, and I'm just about to go back up and do waters and see how she is, n bed her down, she s the first Destiny single, Off I go, I got one more check after that then its Bazs shift, yay schleeep. X
-
"Soon" had a a cracking ram lamb, unfortunately, when I did my check on her, another ewe had lambed a beautiful still born girl I tried to get her going , but to no avail. This morning a sweet little set of twins. Plus the singles we still keeping up top threw two lambs, Baz has put them away.
Des is a rather laid back tup and didnt rush, so I think we ll have a trickle for another week or two, then a big run as Sweep and another ram lamb were then in to mop up for him.

I d been out getting fags n ptprotein licks from neighbour, and come home and typed, thought he was settling them in, turned out that they were still out, went up, caught lamb, he d done the other one and failed to load batty but good mum, thought we d try the other first, caught lamb, great, but yet again loony mum, wasn't having any of it. So we sprayed healthy chunky lamb and let them be, well get them tomorrow!! Good mums that's the main thing eh,
Baz ain't stopped since four this morn, so now getting some zeds, n I go back out in a bit to check n do a few things, finish twelve. Got my eye on a quarter pot of Mackies honeycomb ice cream to retire with lol
-
Set of twins yesterday morning and another single to add to the ones we could nt catch (we have now, pootledthem down to barn yesterday aft) plus another set of twins yesterday morn and one more single this morn. Lots of cuddles going on
-
Another 100 to go......
-
I have 3 due to lamb this month and about 60 or so next month, plus calving mingled in between it all. Busy days and nights ahead! :tired: :roflanim:
-
No rest for the wicked eh lols :roflanim:
-
Pictures please! My are due now but no signs just lots of waddling around
-
Have you had any yet Red ?
Two more singles, lovely strong lambs.
Doing two top ups, no mollies as yet.
Touch wood and sugar buckets, no twin lamb rearing it's head. Plenty of licks about, n they all in with yard by night so very little energy exerted. Protein/energy discs in with them and lifeline, plus they have a ewe nut breakfast out front n big bale in they're digs.
-
A little trickle over the last few days an extra few singles, no more twins yet. des must have been having a lot of siestas lol
-
Come on girls lol zzzzz
-
We ve gone just to energy now, and we ve got corn bucket going in. They re having protein in the morning so we decided that energyfine for the evening, some of them are right piggies.
No new lambs, but saying that I'm out in half hour so may be greeted by some, I hope so, day three of lull today... New moon soon, maybe that will help
Or a curry?
-
After the sad loss last week of a ewe lamb, reported n the Blasted Fox thread....our lull continued until this afternoon when a rookie lambed a strapping ram lamb, mum and babe doing well x
-
Baz came in earlier this evening and said oh there's a little surprise for you up the top shed, a set of twins, aww it only turns out to be my precious Polly Molly, one enormous ram and a very nice ewe lamb. She was sooooo proud, Baz is expecting it to pick up now so I made him some extra pens for his nights shift x
-
Since Poll Moll, we ve had three singles and three twins x
-
Nice one Hellybee! I am going to be bringing my ewes back to the farm for lambing, this week hopefully they should be coming back. They're due to lamb in a few weeks.
-
Cheers WBF! I'm not saying its without it's problems though, namely the weather, we're not a wet farm so I'm told, but these showers have turned everything to mush :( But all lambing fine, got plenty of warm straw beds for them til turn out

Another 11 popped. Left my list outside, mostly singles the last 48 hours. Some cracking strong lambs. des has done a good job, bless him. And some fantastic first time mums, so much chattering going on.
-
List lost and we ve marked up to 49 but some more have arrived, think we at 55? Half way?Sorry foggy brain. So now I ve no idea bar checking whose had what, can't believe I lost it, really annoyed with myself.
lots and lots of lovely bouncing lambs, couple of small ones, small group of top ups, three mollies at the mo, none in house, puppy and lambs, not a good mix. Few awkward mothers but most first timers have been wonderful, which is so heartwarming. Few losses sadly.
Just want the rain to do one now :(
-
Ummm...even the numbers hav egone out of the window now, ewes have dots though so we know who should have what.
Way over half way now, just over thirty left to go.
Have had a few losses, sadly :( , sorry one loss since last post, teeny tiny prem baby x
Got three groups going, two groups go in and out of shed, one group are on campfield with horse box for shelter. We have no grass yet, but it's almost here, so everyone whose lambed has cake dinner, big bale, protein and sugar lick, lifeline. the others have everything bar cake.
Impressed wi the lambs, some good strong lambs, who are tall and wrinkly, think only a handful assists, first timers.
Des has thrown some quality, Sweep has thrown fur balls.
-
Sorry for not updating the last week my brain has been reduced to a mush. We now have just under 20 left to go.
Have lost an old lady and a lamb. :gloomy:
Nine mollies. Some top up mums dropped first milk, but still a handful coming for a drink. But otherwise we have nigh on 100 crazy beautiful well mothered time wasters bouncing around. Bit more time n big routine to be done then send em up high.
The end is nigh.....
-
sounds exhausting!! :tired: Hope you get a break soon
-
Yes Kanisha, the last few days have seen the bottom of my reserves.
-
Baz is doing grand x
-
He pulled a rather chunky lamb this aft from a ewe lamb, fab lamb and she loves her baby. Thats meant that all the other ewe lambs cphave come down too now so he can keep an eye on them.
