Title: lice/ fleas
Post by: langdon on April 26, 2010, 10:16:03 pm
we need to treat our girls for these little so and so.
vet asked us how many goats we have, when we told him we only have two he said its more
like lice, as fleas will only live on a larger flock.
can anyone confirm this?
he also said that he never heared of anyone puting SPOT ON for treating goats with either of the two.
again is this true as we were going to buy it.
he told us of some vacination that we cant remember, but we can but it in our local farm store.
thanks langdon  ;) :goat:

Spot on is great, we always use it. But it is more of a sheep product. The trouble is, not a lot of medication is licensed for goats, so vets always think you maybe shouldn't use it. It is possible Spot on isn't licensed for goats, but we have been using it successfully for years.
