Title: Safe Sensible Horse Wanted for Hacking
Post by: Duckduckgoose on February 26, 2016, 10:00:25 pm
Hi, After years of not getting on a horse I have decided to take the plunge again at the grand old age of 35. I've had a long break from riding due to a very bad experience when I was younger and then children and other things took over.
I've been working with horses again daily for the last year or so. I have brought and broken a Shetland for my kids to ride and i'm very confident handling all types and sizes of horses on the ground. It's just the riding bit I need to start over again!
If anyone knows of a safe sensible horse for loan or sale that I can use for hacking and a wee bit of schooling please get in touch. I'm about 15 1/2 ST (very ashamed) So it needs to be a weight carrier and not too forward. I'd like something that will give me confidence. Nothing too young or green.
If you know of anything at all please get in touch

Thanks for that. I have a friend who's husband works at Drumoak sspca and know someone else who works at WHW too so they've got their ears to the ground for something suitable too :-)
