Hi there, my call duck bonded pair started laying today. I m selling the hatching eggs in batches of 3. The duck s a black bibbed with nice markings and the drake is pure white. So hopefully get interesting marked ducklings. Can post 3 to UK area for £14 all Inc.

Are call ducks easy to hatch in an incubator?
I have hatched hens eggs before but do you need more humidity for call duck eggs?
Do you want the eggs to be collected? or do you post out fertile eggs?

Hi there, call duck eggs can be bit tricky to incubate. Would advise reading up on incubating them. 28 day incubation , maybe bit less as small.Cool from day 7 to day 24 by switching off incubator for at least 20 mins to 2 hrs per day. Moisten with spray or sponge from day 7 to day 24. Turn well up to day 24. Just guidelines. 37.5 degrees. Not sure of humidity. My incubator full so not tried these out but the pair are v active. I've successfully incubated shetland duck eggs using that method but they're just guidelines that worked for me. Best under a broody. I can post or you collect.

Thanks for the reply. Very interesting.
Unfortunately, I haven't any broody hens at the moment but I may try your method to see how well (or badly) I get on.
