Title: loving 'arm-knitting'
Post by: fiestyredhead331 on January 24, 2016, 04:25:37 pm
I have discovered the joys of arm-knitting  :knit:

I could knit with needles but haven't done any in years as I have neither the patience or the time until.....i found out about arm-knitting!
For those not familiar with the technique, you literally substitute the needles for your arms! Quick and easy, an eternity scarf knocked out in 20 mins or so

here's one a did last night  ;D

uses a 100g ball of chunky wool to make one short eternity scarf but you can use as many balls as you like and make it as long as you like
I've added a link to the tutorial I found the easiest to follow :

It looks awesome, never knew about that I was told that you had to use needles. I may take up knitting now :innocent:

After having a look at the instructions and a quick go myself I spent the last few weeks at Brownies trying to get them arm knitting a scarf for mothers day.  We used the wool we had and the finished scarves were to say the least very interesting.  Haven't heard back yet what the mothers thought about their gift.  One Brownie went home last week wearing hers so I don't think mum would be getting that one!
