So the cat is due to have her kittens in a few days and now the rabbit that I was rehoming has just started frantically nesting (!) whats the odds that they both deliver same day/time?!
Daisy bunny didn't get on with my breeding buck (they are lionlops) so I was giving her to a friend for her daughters birthday (LO is desperate for a bunny!) now it looks like her daughter might have more than one to choose from.
still not sure how the deed took place, daisy had to be removed from bennybunny within minutes!
could be worse, the other doe could start nesting..no, lets not go there!!

I have spotted three of my farm cats waddling round with large bellies. Did want to get them speyed, but catching them is a different matter. They come twice a day for food, but are definitely not the type of cat you can pick up. Usually have kittens by the first weekend in May .....Lillian always has kittens then.
Rabbits can breed many times a year if allowed, can't they? I have three, including a Lionhead, but I try and keep them apart as we have two boys and a girl.

What will you do with all those kittens, Roxy? Will you be able to catch them?

Where there is a will there is a way. We were planning on not having calves this year, giving the cows a rest, but the next door neighbours bull paid a visit, hopefully I caught him in time.

luckily i have homes for everyone :) my half lionlops go to a local petstore run by my daughters friends dad - who is brilliant. he's been texting for a while saying "where's the babies?!" but my pure doe has crossed her legs.
don't envy you with 3 preggy cats though!! mine is my baby - she is half siamese and lives on my lap, perfect therapy after a hard day. need to keep her in this week now

It could be phantom.... our does sometime 'nest' (we have 7 but only one 'pair' unrelated, thre rest are their 'children')
when they get friskey!
Smokey is fur- pulling but not due for a while yet....
good luck all

I do handle the kittens, although some are like little wildcats, and hiss and spit. But, as they are rehomed, they do need to be handled. As they are white, I have no trouble finding homes, although only to people I like. Quite simply, if the people are not to my liking, and I think they will not look after the kitten, they do not get it. I make them pay too, becasue one lady took one, and then put it up for sale ......I was not mad about her making a profit, more that the kitten was going somewhere I did not know. So, if they are asked to make a donation, which I say is for de fleaing and worming, they make look after it.
I do see some of the kittens (now big cats) and am happy they are in lovely homes, so thats nice. Its strange, but the cats up at my other farm, I can handle and pick up, without too much fuss. Although, they do not like being held too long, just long enough for flea or worm treatment. Obviously, they are all speyed. Why the ones here are more feral I do not know.

I did wonder too if it could be a phantom pregnancy. but looking at the calender its now 30 days since I introduced daisy to bennybunny so ... maybe...will just have to wait and see!!
good luck with your kittens roxy!! Our cat is still cannon-ball esque bless her!! but being very young herself is in and out of everything and still acting like she's not about to give birth.
