Hi, wanting to put a garden gate onto the back garden-needs to be hung on right (so it doesn't interfere with shed door on left hand side) but the right hand wall is the house-and its got harling. Is this possible?

Easiest way I've done it in the past is to plug/screw a piece of treated timber to the wall (full height of gate) then hang the gate off that. How big is your gate going to be?

Forgot to add - leave a decent gap say 1" plus below the foot of the timber/ground level to avoid rot problems.

				Hi
thanks very much for the tips

Originally it was to hang an alpaca/cattle hurdle on to act as a sometime gate/barrier but for now, we've redesigned it so we're not using the side of the house-although I'd like to in the future.
