It is that time of year again .... Time to stock the lambing equipment box and shed (though if you are like me shed is already full of sheep as got too wet on fields to leave them out!)
So suggestions for essential equipment and your own 'thing I couldn't do without'. ?

Kickstart lamb reviver - I find a wee swig at 2am keeps me going ;D Only joking - magic stuff though.

Hi if you look at similar suggested post you find lots on this theme from previous years

.....and don't forget that while you're looking after the sheep, who's looking after you? A freezer full of cakes and casseroles is very handy, as are PU boots, full waterproofs, handwarmers and a flask ready for mugs of tea during the midnight vigils.

Be prepared to be in an alternate universe for a few weeks, nothing else matters when lambing starts, there's nothing quite like it, prepare your body clock it too and eat like no tomorrow lol

'Must have's:
From winter onwards (ie., well before lambing starts) :
- Pen&Strep
- Combivit
- Twin Lamb drench
- Calcium for injecting
- Prolapse spoons or harnesses
For lambing itself:
- KickStart / Collate Multi-Lamb or similar
- Colostrum and/or colostrum-replacer
- Red teats and suitable bottles
- Stomach tube kit
- Iodine spray
- Lube
- Lamb jackets
- Elastrators and rings
- Hot water bottle
as well as the usual array of syringes, needles, blue and purple sprays, etc.
Miss Molly the Rayburn is already present, of course ;)
In previous years, two of the other things I couldn't manage without were IrnBru (full strength) and Tunnocks Caramel Wafers. This year I think I will try to do it with Innocent Smoothies and bananas. Wish me luck!
