We went for a cup of tea & a sticky bun and ended up buying this bungalow @ 153k 10 or so years ago .
OK now to fess up .. We'd viewed three tatty very badly presented houses earlier in the day .
The cafe was next door to an estate agents , , we were actively looking for a place in the area , saw this one in the shop window , popped in for a copy of the info sheet to look at whilst we were in the cafe ( got a slack handful ) , decided we'd like to know more and then registered etc etc etc.
Got a viewing the in the late afternoon , liked it , so made an acceptable offer for it . The rest is history .

Went on holiday to Exmoor for a short break, bought a house with land.
I'd printed out a few property details for us to drive by, just out of interest, no intention whatever of actually buying. We coasted past the first, a barn conversion, the owner spotted us and waved us in... Hubs fell in love with it, we spent the rest of the hol researching property in the area for real, and ended up buying the converted barns.

For our very first pig excursion, I had arranged to buy 2 British lop weaners and set off to collect them. When the wife returned from work later in the day, first thing she asks
" why are there 10 pigs in our field?"
" the chap said if I took the lot he'd knock a fiver off each one"
" again - why are there 10 pigs in our field"
-
So you are planning to use the bull to melt the ice on the drive....?
or just sprinkle him on your chips...... ???

Whilst living in dubai I once popped to macdonalds for lunch and ended up buying a brand new Nissan 350z sports car without even yest driving it. I had already driven a friends and the best bit was I paid for it on my credit card. The sales man's face in the showroom was classic.

Bumped into a woman who runs an agri store in the shop and I was moaning about Genus increasing their AI charges... she mentions they have a lonely bull (hence the name Norman No Mates :D). So happens he's the same breed as our girls and womans dad (92 years old!) has been keeping him as a pet but he needs to go. Next thing I know I'm trying not to flinch at her wild horses galloping around me as I view said bull... the rest as they say, is history :roflanim:

Will have a go at taking some tomorrow WBF - he's not very interested in coming to see me when he's been treated to 10 eager heifers after 8 months abstinence! :roflanim:
