The cheap fruit trees should rock up in lidls and the like in the next few weeks. I can't get into town very often (it's 45 mins each way) so when you see them give me a heads-up, folks. I'm after a half dozen more cherries and 3/4 pears.
Just finished pruning the espalier apples and pears..just the stone fruit side to repair and retie.

Went out on Mon and our Lidl and Aldi didn't have but B&M surprised us with 2 for £4. Picked up two different cherries, a plum and a pear. :tree:

Ace..will check it out!

B&M 2 for £8
They are listed on aldi's website cheaper but not in stock yet near me...and too far in petrol money to go back so 10 bought at B&M
And poundland had some soft fruit... I failed trying to propagate my blueberries so bought another 5.
Wilco had seed spuds in (too early for me yet) but will be sowing my toms and peppers next week.

Ack, sorry I blame baby brain, it should have been 2 for £8. Glad it was still worthwhile for you.

This reminds me, I haven't got a lot of space for fruit trees atm ( I am still sorting out the garden) but I need to buy in some more blueberry bushes. Are they worth buying in from poundland? because the last lot of raspberry bushes died on me for no reason at all

They will be in Aldi from 4th of feb according to the magazine.
£3.49 each for 2 year old grafted tree.
Apple, pear, cherry, plum and raspberry

Poundland blueberries look healthy.. didn't check the other stuff but boxed the same as the wilco et al soft fruit so I reckon well worth a look if you need some.. they had gooseberry and raspberry too.. no currants on display in the oswestry store or i might have got another couple of reds...
Aldi range of cherries wider than B&M.. so might nd up getting some sour ones there in a week or two.. or wait for lidl (cos i need to go there soon)

The poundland blueberries had same wrappings and packaging as wilcos.. but when unwrapped to soak prior to planting there's no sign of roots..just a twig with no hairs. Planted and we'll see...... :(

Named fruit trees in Lidl today. 2 varieties of cherry, Comice pears, several apple varieties - all at £5.99 and in large square pots.
