Title: how many ewes ?
Post by: kelly58 on November 18, 2015, 10:29:59 am
One of my tups is related to all but two of the ewes in my flock.
Was hoping to just put him in with those two, is this unfair on the ewes ?
Hes pretty keen and l wouldnt want them getting hurt due to him being 'over ' amorous.
Dont want to bring in any new ewes. Dont want to get rid of him either, hes had a hard time of it before l got him and hes just beginning to chill out.

They'll be fine.
He'll only mount them when they are on heat and then they'll be as keen as he is.

Yup I'm with the others, mine had only 4 ewes, he was well up for it and had been for weeks . No problems, out again now , no returns so nothing else for him to do till next winter

How is he related ?

If his mother is in the flock putting him back to her IF he has the right conformation and has no other issues the lambs will be fine..line breeding.
