Does anyone on here keep polwarths?
-
I don't but I've heard they're not ideal for our climate as they have a lot of Merino blood.
-
I don't either but bought some Falkland Island prepared Polwarth fibre for spinning. I haven't spun any yet but the other membors of my group have said is spins lovely.

You can try contacting WidowTwanky on Ravelry. She keeps Polwarths.
There's a WidowTwanky listed on TAS but I don't know if it's the same person, and in any case they haven't been on TAS for a couple of years.

http://www.thenaturalfibre.co.uk/meet-the-animals (http://www.thenaturalfibre.co.uk/meet-the-animals) Read this..... The only people I found who breed them are either in new zealand or Australia

I recently bought some of Blacker Yarns Polwarth (http://www.blackeryarns.co.uk/pure-polwarth-4-ply-yarn.html). They confirmed that they source the fibre in the UK.
