Really excited :excited: picking up the two sheep Tomoz, couldn't pick em up last week as I was really busy, supervising calving. I'll try and take some pics of them for you all. They're not pure frieslands, but they're very milky. A brilliant adventure for next year, I'm planning on making cheese out of their milk. One question..... is it possible to make sheep's butter, as you would with cows milk?

what fun! I would love some milk sheep! you can make butter, people don't do it that much just because they make more money from cheese etc.
Good luck, do post pics when you have them!

You can certainly make butter from ewe's milk but you will need a cream separator.

Ah well picked them up today driving back had to drive through torrential rain not nice but we're all eagerly home and no hiccups of any kind on the way home. I stopped a few times to check them, they were really relaxed. I will try and take some pics of them in the next few days. Thanks for the comments and I'll keep you all updated.

I think sheep's butter is paler than goat too

Goat butter is white if not coloured.
