Title: Carniverous plant captures whole sheep

Do any of you follow "Way Out West" blow in blog ? A lovely couple who live in the west of Ireland.
I thought at first this was a bit of fun, a wind up, but if you watch and think about it you can see how right this is.

I posted on this a while back. I don't think anyone believed me then, but this little clip explains things well.
It doesn't mention that brambles will also capture humans......... :o

Looking at the blogger's land though, he could do with cutting back the brambles from near the fences, prevention being better than cure, and he could also have cleared away the cut bits after he'd released his sheep, so they don't promptly hang onto the next passing sheep and become entangled.

But yes, definitely, brambles are deadly, carnivorous, and out to get YOU  :roflanim:

I thought I'd come across the idea before  :thinking:

So I expect I already told my story about taking secateurs with me on walks in Devon.  Horace would find the ensnared sheep and I would release them. Usually at least one on an hour-long walk, sometimes 4 or 5!

Oh, and I agree, it would have been nice if he'd shown cutting back the brambles to save his sheep the trauma and discomfort of getting tangled.  If one of he or his wife span  :spin:, they'd soon do something about it!   :D

Time that farmer did some housekeeping.    >:( >:( >:(

I once told our neighbour off for leaving strands of barbed wire loose, we had to release two of his sheep.

He clearly wants to cultivate his brambles but surely, for the sake of the sheep's welfare, he should fence them off.

I hate to say this but after i saw that video I got carried away  and watched all their other videos, from hoof trimming to growing potatoes and before I knew it I had subscribed to them. :roflanim: But seriously its brilliant what they're doing
