Got a letter yesterday, from Animal Health, asking for my stock details and to ring them. Oh, oh, thinks I. With the TB round here, and knowing they are testing all the cow herds, they must be heading into my direction and want to test my goats and llama. Sheep are ok and not prone to TB apparantly.
Spent ages yesterday, checking all my records, matching ear tags, checking none had fallen out etc. etc. Then got worried about how I would pen the large llama up for testing. Satisfied all was in order, I phoned this morning. I had spoken to them not long since, so assumed they would have all my details correct anyway.
The sheep were on the database, the llama and only two of the goats. The lady said they had a new system and were just updating records. She never mentioned TB, but did say the local vets had asked her to get the info ......so I reckon they will be in touch to come and check/test my herd.
Well, my paperwork is in order, just the problem of holding a very large, male llama. I think a few strong men are needed for that job.

Oh no, I will be keeping them all for myself ....even after they have wrestled my llama :D
