That's spectacular and excellent pics.
For me, the Central Belt with its light pollution gets in the way of most aurorae :(

Just beautiful. Not seen them myself but there has been a few sightings over the past few weeks.

I'm afraid I was topping up my beauty sleep last night so I never saw them.
Fantastic photo's though - first class.

The lights have been busy this year - we saw some in October on one very clear night and again a few days back.
I keep an eye on the local Observatory group on Facebook - they usually post if there's going to be anything interesting in Moray. Seems there's a dedicated following around here.
Admit to striding up our fields in the dead of night hoping to see the dancers, and not to disturb the coos and their friend Tommy the bull...

One more thing I want to see before I die!.I was all set to go up to the north of Scotland when Jim had his heart attack. All set once more when he was taken ill with an abcessed liver. Maybe third time lucky?
