Title: Packing Bags For Poultry
Post by: uksfdawn on November 04, 2015, 06:24:18 pm
I am trying to find some suitable supplies for packing and freezing turkeys and ducks, I have bags that will do for chickens but turkeys are big, I have half a dozen almost table ready but cant find bags big enough for them.

Use Tesco tie handle freezer bags for our ducks and two for a goose. They are liberally wrapped in cling fim first. Ducks and geese tend to be longer and thinner than a turkey so might not be any use to you but these bags do have a fair bit of stretch in them. Seen us using bin bags when can't get anything else to fit.
