Title: Wanted- Field shelter
Post by: EmAbi-Sheep Newbies on October 26, 2015, 08:22:45 am
Hi

I'm after a field shelter, used or new. Near Kent. For a small flock of sheep.

Or the best company to buy from?

Thanks

You may not be interested, but we built our own and it was very cheap and easy. Just  met posts for the supports, then got some tree strippings/slab wood from a timber supplier (only £35 for loads). a pack of roofing lats then some orduline (spelling?!) roofing sheets.  We used hurdles for dividers.

That's a brilliant idea, I did wonder how people made their own!
Was it relatively easy to build? [member=42972]Jukes Mum[/member]

very easy, especially as we decided on the 'rustic look' so didn't have to worry too much about it being neat  :roflanim:
It was a 2 man job as the tree strippings were too heavy to hold in place to screw them.
Also needed 2 people to do the roof as the sheets were a bit awkward to lift/manoeuvre alone.
