two of our ewes have both lambed twin lambs - one set tuesday and the other set wednesday. they are in separate pens in one of the stables. i am planning to put them all out tomorrow but am a little concerned. one of the lambs got into the wrong pen and the ewe (not her mum) butted her & knocked her over then trampled her. all was well as we were there to intervene but what will happen when they go out to the field tomorrow? should i keep them in longer?

A ewe will normally see off any lambs that are not hers - naturally she will protect her milk supply for her own offspring. In the field, with plenty room, they will be fine and the lambs will soon learn to stick to their own mommy.

thanks Rosemary. That was what I'd hoped but just wanted to check with those that know more than I do (most everyone!!)
