Hi can anyone recommend a good book on making goats cheese please? :goat:

Cheese making by Rita Ash is a good starter book and once you get the basics, Butter and Cheesemaking by V. Cheke and A Sheppard is good but its quite an old book

I'm not sure whether this will help or not but I bought a cheesemaking book which tackles goats cheese, among others, plus the sience behind making it. Its called mastering artisan cheesemaking bygianaclis Caldwell. Its brilliant definately worth a read. I got it off eBay for £18. So for what it is not to expensive. All the best with cheesemaking, hopefully I shall be making mozzarella before too long :excited: and keep us updated?

I bought 200 easy homemade cheese receipes by Debra amrein-boyes. Haven't tried any yet but lots of goats cheese receipes along with many others and very clear instructions. Not many pics though.

Thanks folks I will chase up those titles. Will keep you posted

These are some of our small waxed goats cheese, should keep for 3-4 months in the wax and yesterday we were bagging up feta cheese now we've mastered the brine
I say 'we' but I should say 'he' as I just do the waxing etc but he makes the cheese :innocent:
