OK, none of us have ££££££'s so we want a nice day out, never mind rain, sleet, snow etc///some where around no more than an hour from Clackmanann...I thought of Burnt Island or maybe a wonder around woodland anywhere..not too difficult as we have young children and some dogs (mine will stay at home as they are too young)

I cant say Im familier with the clackmannon area.......
There must be someware close?

Sorry...far tooo many p's MUST go for one ;)

how abot Linlithgow
you can take the dogs up to Beecraigs park, they have deer up there and plenty woodland walks (as wellas a new go ape centre - but that is tres cher!)
then you can head down to visit the palace, walk around the loch, maybe get some chips from the very nice Golden Chip
there are also some nice walks along the canal too
plus all the Mary Queen of Scots history you can shake a stick at.

Beecraigs is a great place for walks.

The Wheel is nice on a fine day, but expensive to go on the boats. Free bits are - Nice walks along the canals, good restaurant, browsing in shop, and history of the canals.
Glasgow Science Centre is great! Three floors of things to do and see, restaurant too, might be expensive, can't remember.
-
Do they let dogs in the Science Centre? ;D

We went to Abadour, very nice day on the beach looking for crabs...then some fish and chips (I opted out of the chips....diet!!) Poor wee Archie is a bit off, has a bug and a cough so a bit grumpy, otherwise all is good and the weather was nice...We have 8 dogs between us so please
NO MORE RAIN!!!
