Title: First registration of croft
Post by: crofter 65 on October 18, 2015, 10:28:49 am
Hi, I am about to go through the first registration of my croft and was wondering what people do about maps, can you use the maps the department send you or do you have to get special maps. I don't really want to pay an agent to do this work as it looks simple enough once I know what maps are acceptable.
Thanks,
Ronnie.

I don't remember what maps I used but would guess it was the ones that came with the title deeds.
I would imagine that the IACS map would do as they are official maps.

We used the maps from the department that we had but that was 10 years ago, things may have changed!

When my father died and we were transferring the croft to me I sent the IACS maps to the lawyer and they seemed to do the trick. This was in 2010, though, pre-registration.
